All New Yukon Lineup Offers More Luxury and First AT4 Trim
GMC recently introduced its next-generation of SUVs equipped with class-leading technology and capability, the 2021 Yukon and Yukon XL. The 2021 lineup will also feature an all-new and more upscale Denali trim as well as the first-ever Yukon AT4.
“GMC Yukon is the full-size premium SUV that’s made to be used,” said Duncan Aldred, vice president of Global Buick and GMC. “The new Yukon delivers what customers value most – premium features, purposeful technology and all-terrain capability.”
The all-new Yukon lineup features an all-new interior design with a class-leading available Power Sliding Center Console. GMC drivers will also find an available, first-in-class Four-Corner Air Ride Adaptive Suspension. This feature will raise the body of the vehicle by 2 inches for additional ground clearance when traveling off-road. To add to driver awareness, the new Yukon lineup will also offer nine camera views, the most in its segment. To add to driver safety, the Yukon lineup will also offer an available class-leading 15-inch-diagonal multicolor Head-Up Display.
Denali, GMC’s premium luxury sub-brand, originated on the 1999 Yukon model and has taken off in popularity, earning most of GMC’s consistent growth. About 60% of Yukon buyers purchase Denali thus making it the focal point for the 2021 lineup. For the next generation, it’ll feature an updated exterior design with an exclusive interior design.
“Yukon was the model in which Denali originated in 1999, and now more than 20 years later, we’re introducing the quintessential Denali,” says Helen Emsley, executive director of Global Buick and GMC Design. “It delivers a first-class experience with an all-new, exclusive interior and a bolder, more distinctive exterior design.”
GMC has also received positive reactions introducing the Sierra AT4 pickup, Sierra HD AT4 and the Acadia AT4. Now, for the first time, GMC will add the Yukon AT4 to its AT4 lineup. Yukon AT4 will provide off-road capability every adventurer will need to explore.
“Our mission with the next-generation Yukon was to create an off-road capable vehicle with a premium interior, advanced technology and class-leading space for eight people and their cargo,” said Jim Danahy, executive chief engineer of full-size trucks.
